Wedding Favors That Guests Are Sure To Take Home

Wedding favors are small tokens of appreciation from the bride and the groom. As the couple’s beloved family and friends are invited to take part in their most awaited day, these giveaways serve as a souvenir of the moments that change the newlyweds’ lives forever. Simply put, wedding favors give the guests a little reminder of all the fun and love that is celebrated during a couple’s Day.

However, not all wedding favors are created equal. With the whirlwind caused by all the fun and merry-making at wedding parties, it isn’t a wonder why some guests get to leave their wedding favors behind at their seats or absolutely forget to grab one by the door as they make their exit. Let’s admit it, some wedding souvenirs tend to become dust-collectors at home or under the car seat.

If you are dreading those left-behind wedding tokens or wishing to avoid those boring wedding favors, here are a few creative suggestions that are sure to be taken home.

Goodie bags.

The innovation of having a dessert station or a sweets bar serves two purpose – one is to allow guests to enjoy the sweets all night long and the other is for them to be able to bring home the sweetness from the day’s festivities. Prepare custom-made paper or plastic bags for the guests to fill up right before they go home. Guests get to pick whatever they may like from the selection and can enjoy the sweets on the way home or even the morning after.

Scratch tickets.

These are fun, exciting, and easy to prepare plus the chances of winning are even better with such a huge number of tickets. Make sure to wrap the tickets and enclose a penny for scratching as well.

Miniatures.

These are on their way to becoming huge crowd pleasers. Why not try and awe your invitees (if your budget allows it)? Miniatures like tiny brass horseshoes and crystal love knots are exquisite to look at and they reflect the true sentiments behind the whole concept of giving out favors.

Succulents.

Who could ever resist these adorable greens in miniature pots? They require little care but they bring in so much light, life, and energy for the indoors. Plant the cute succulents into vintage cups or mini ceramic pots that won’t break due to the to and fro transportation. Don’t forget to include a sheet of the care instructions so guests can begin their happily ever after with their new garden members.

Local produce.

Especially perfect for destination weddings! But you can even make it work if you have an organic farmer’s market that you especially love and would like to introduce to your guests. From the fruits, to the crops, and even local breads and treats, the wedding guests will absolutely love going home with a piece of the wedding at hand and the bulk purchase will secure you discounts and help the regional industry and local businesses.

Steeped in 16th century English tradition, favors are a mark of good luck! They bring the happiness and love of the bride and groom into the home and family of their wedding guests. Forget sugared almonds and other conventional mementos. With so many amazing options available, the sky is the limit where getting innovative is concerned.
